I have taken treatment for my allergic cold and cough problem. After completion of dose, now I have no such problems. From last 4 months I am free from cough and cold. I am C. Ramachandran from Hyderabad and am 72 years old.About 5 months back, I experienced difficulty in breathing, followed by congestion, fever, cold etc. The SPO2 level dropped down to 91-93 range from 98-99. I got myself examined and the illness was diagnosed as ‘Fibrosis of Lungs’. The PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) showed
disastrous results. The Pulmonologist said that Fibrosis in lungs is like formation of cuts/wounds, which could not be reversed, but controlled. I was advised to take a course of Steroid.
Being diabetic, it was a known fact that the steroid would imbalance the blood sugar, and once the blood sugar is out of control, one will have to depend on the insulin injection. Presently my
blood sugar is well within control, with the use of medicines. Steroid have many other known side effects like increase in weight etc. With all these thoughts in mind, I was not comfortable in going ahead with the advice of the Pulmonologist.
My next option was Ayurvedic medicines, and I don’t remember having taken this line of treatment any time in the past. I contacted Dr. Shruti, who went through the clinical test reports
and advised me to try the Ayurvedic treatment for a period of 3 months, which I agreed. Right from the start,
Dr. Shruti took all the details about the overall condition of my health and start the medicines. Every week, she used to make a follow up call, recommended a strict diet and simple exercise. I, on my part, strictly followed her advice. I started feeling better, with a follow
up every week from her side, enquiring into the minutest information. It has been about 5 months now; I have been under the treatment of Dr. Shruti. Now I feel quite normal, am able to breath
smoothly, with no cough and no congestion. The SPO2 level in now in the range of 96-97. I was also surprised to see my hbA1c levels dropping down to a much lower levels than in the past. I
am full of praise for the pragmatic approach, which Dr. Shruti makes and her belief that with a well-controlled diet, half the illness can be cured or avoided.
This experience of mine has brought in me, fresh air of faith in our age old Ayurvedic Medical
System. I firmly believe that this field of medicine should come to the fore with all the possible
supports, despite the forces acting against it. I wish Shree Vishwasrujna Clinic and Dr. Shruti, all
success in their endeavor in taking ahead our age old traditional medical system for its overall
acceptance.
