Mitra Hermitage Hospital is a place that has been recommended through word of mouth for many years. Friends, family members, and many people I know have come here before me, and now I completely understand why.
I completed a 21-day Ayurvedic treatment program here, and my experience was extremely positive. This is a serious and professional institution where people come to heal and achieve lasting results, provided they carefully follow Dr. Mahesh’s recommendations.
The entire team is outstanding. The staff is attentive, caring, and always willing to help. The therapists are wonderful, compassionate, and highly professional. They genuinely care about each patient and make you feel supported throughout your stay.
I would also like to mention the food, which is simply delicious. Every meal is freshly prepared with care using wholesome ingredients. It is a real pleasure to eat healthy, nourishing food every day, and each meal becomes something to look forward to.
I came to Mitra Hermitage Hospital because of digestive issues that had persisted for more than two years despite numerous treatments and consultations in conventional medicine. The Ayurvedic treatment program brought me significant improvements and, most importantly, helped me develop a much deeper understanding of my body. Here, everything makes sense: the treatments, the diet, the daily routine, and the medical guidance all work together in a coherent and holistic way.
Ayurveda, a medical tradition that has been practiced for over 5,000 years, remains remarkably relevant today. Its approach focuses on addressing the root causes of health issues rather than simply managing symptoms, using natural and personalized methods.
I wholeheartedly recommend Mitra Hermitage Hospital to anyone looking to improve their health in a serious, caring, and authentic environment. It has been a truly valuable and life-changing experience for me.

View on GoogleI would like to sincerely thank the Ayurveda team and everyone involved. The treatment was highly professional, and the whole team was extremely kind, friendly, and attentive.
Everything was very well organized, the food was excellent, and I felt very well cared for throughout the entire stay. Dr. Mahesh and his team were always supportive and welcoming. The treatment was successful, and I truly appreciate the experience. I would be happy to come again. ????
Great experience at Mitra! I flew all the way from Austin, TX USA for a Ayurveda treatment. This is my second stay here. I really like the authentic Ayurveda treatment and it is not water downed treatment. The place is clean and the staff are very attentive. Plan to be back again next year .

I stayed at Mitra Hermitage Ayurvedic Hospital for three weeks for a Panchakarma treatment focused on abdominal and gynaecological health. The experience was deeply healing on every level — physical, mental, and emotional. Ayurveda truly purifies from within, and I can honestly say, it’s working.
The treatments and massages were done with great skill and genuine care. The therapists instinctively knew the right pressure and approach, and their affection and sincerity made every session special. What touched me most was their devotional spirit — they performed their work with heartfelt reverence to Lord Dhanvantari, making each treatment feel more like a sacred ritual than a routine.
The doctors were exceptionally attentive, observant, and empathetic. Every detail was noticed and explained with patience and care.
The food deserves special mention. It was not only nutritious and beautifully varied but also filled with a certain lightness and joy — you could sense the positive energy of the cooking staff in every meal. Truly, “food is medicine” is lived here.
Panchakarma can be intense at times, but the warmth of the staff, the caring therapists, and the compassion of the doctors made it a deeply uplifting and memorable experience. I’m truly grateful — and I’ll definitely be back again.
My husband and I stayed here as a couple at the same time as the previous 3 reviewers. We originally came for a one day experience and enjoyed it so much we asked if we could come back to do the 15 day panchakarma detox/rejuvenation treatment program. They were booked out until April but luckily they had a cancellation so a few days later we changed our travel plans and returned. We thoroughly agree with everything that Ayuko said in the previous review so won’t repeat here, but would like to add that what also made our experience so special was meeting and making friends with a lovely bunch of people who we hope to remain in contact with in the future. Also special mention must be made again about the doctors and the staff who were all amazing. Everyone worked so hard to provide counsel and treatments, great food, spotlessly clean rooms and linens and tidy well maintained grounds. Whenever we met any staff member we were greeted with a smile and a polite greeting . We were treated with such kindness and respect which we will never forget .
Our first room was overlooking the garden and then a week later we were able to move to one of the larger upstairs rooms next to the river which was lovely. The sound of the river, the birds and the mosque were wonderful and all added to our experience. I spent many an hour just relaxing in the hammock watching the birds flying over the river.
It’s important to note that Mitra is an authentic Ayurvedic hospital and definitely not a resort. People come here with a variety of health issues, and the care and treatment of their patients is first and foremost. We were glad to hear that the team at Mitra intend to keep it this way.
