My mom had severe, persistent shoulder pain for a long time, and we are so glad we found AVN Arogya Ayurvedic Centre. A big thank you to Dr. Rajila. She is a very good doctor who patiently listens to the patient's problems and understands the condition well. Thanks to her care, my mom's shoulder pain has improved a lot. The clinic is peaceful and very well-managed. Highly recommend Dr. Rajila and this centre for anyone looking for good Ayurvedic care!

Stroke Treatment

We are from Bangalore and traveled to Madurai for Ayurvedic stroke rehabilitation treatment for my father (67 years old) in this hospital.
We stayed at the hospital for approximately 26 - 27 days. Before admission, my father was unable to walk due to stroke and the purpose of the treatment was to improve mobility. During the initial enquiry at Bangalore, Its totally fake promise. Dr. Ramesh warier said that treatment would be provided to help my father walk again.
At the time of discharge, nothing improvement in walking ability and no training or guidance was provided on basic mobility activities such as getting up from the bed.
We did not expect him to run or walk quickly. If the treatment had focused at least on improving this basic mobility, we would not have raised this concern.
the oil massage and physiotherapy did not lead to any improvement in his condition.
a lot of medicines were provided during the stay and after discharge. During the stay, my father was given more than 30 additional tablets along with his regular 12 allopathy tablets.
At the time of discharge, a lot of oil was given for massage. We came for Ayurvedic treatment expecting faster recovery, but if it also takes a long time with many medicines, the purpose of coming here is unclear. My father was completely bed ridden after the stroke and with only allopathy medicines, he had already started walking slowly with support and knee bend. first 3 - 6 months after a stroke are considered the golden period for recovery and we lost almost 1 month. After discharge, his progress became slower, so we stopped giving those medicines.
For stroke rehabilitation treatment, i will not recommend to anyone. Home physiotherapy and basic training are enough. Do not expect Ayurvedic treatment to work like magic.
Based on our experience, the treatment was not good and it was a waste of both time and money for us.

Other observations:
-- discharge Medicine expenses were approximately 8-9k for one month.
-- hospital restaurant served only vegetarian food (even no eggs) for patient and attender and outside food was not allowed, the food charges were higher than market rates, but taste was good.

I visited for my mothers rheumatoid arthritis treatment. Doctor is good at explaining things and gives full attention to patient. But her treatment didn't heal the condition and rather my mother's pain increased. I had discussed with doctor about short therapy for relief in pain. She advised 3 days therapy. That also didn't helped in relieving pain. Doctor needs to try to find the proper cause and advice treatment that heals condition.

I have been taking treatment from AVN for cervical disc bulge, allergies & ashthama since 2014. They are excellent. Especially Dr. Hazna treats patients with special care. People in Front desk are very co-operative. So far all therapists working in the Bangalore center have been very good at their job. Most of my family members and friends also consult them for different health issues and are very satisfied.
Even main center in Madurai also does very good job. Dr.Ramesh is an excellent doctor. Had a word with few patients while I was at the centre, everybody had given positive response.

I am giving 5 stars because of my overall happiness with the service and good treatment I received. Staff members are very polite & nice. Coordination with the front desk was so easy. Special mention to masseur Adnan, who is very good in treating the customers well. He is kind enough to ask for problem areas to concentrate on. No one is money minded which is nice to see nowadays as compared to other massage centers. I strongly recommend and visit again here.
