A very good medical institution and hospital

There is no discipline inside the opd section, people have to wait for hours just to get medicine from the hospital's pharmacy as the pharmacist is never to be found there each and every time.

The diseases treated in this government Ayurveda hospital can be treated better in a private Ayurveda hospital. These too can be treated at a lower cost.
This is a government hospital but every service is of a private hospital

1. The toilet is not clean, there is no door lock, the water in the bathroom is blocked, and there is no washbasin.

2. Water purifier water storage tank is not clean

3. Even normal tests in the laboratory are not available. All tests should be done from private laboratories.

4. The medicines prescribed by the doctor are not available in the hospital pharmacy. All medicines must be purchased from a medical store outside the hospital.

5. The hospital OPD starts late but closes early.

6. The doctor and nurse will not come to the ward to see the patient who is being admitted.

7. Nurses are not visible in the nursing room.

8. Collaboration between hospital staff is essential.

9. Due to the short staffing of physiotherapy, patients do not receive the necessary treatment and the medicines required for physiotherapy have to be purchased from a medical store outside the hospital.

10. The service of the doctors is very good but the other services are very bad.

This is one of the oldest Ayurvedic institutions in the Northeast, established in 1948. It functions both as a teaching college and a hospital, so you will find doctors, students, and patients all in the same campus. The OPD and IPD services are affordable compared to private hospitals, and the doctors are knowledgeable in Ayurvedic treatment. They also provide Panchakarma therapy, basic diagnostics like X-ray and ECG, and medicines from their in-house pharmacy.However, the infrastructure definitely feels outdated. The waiting areas and wards need better maintenance, and the cleanliness is not up to the mark. Toilets are often unhygienic, and there is a shortage of sanitation workers, which makes the environment uncomfortable for patients and attendants. On busy days, the rush is high, so be prepared for long waiting times.On the positive side, the doctors and staff are generally cooperative, and treatment costs are low, which makes this hospital accessible for many people. Students of Ayurveda also get good exposure here since it’s directly attached to the college.Overall, I would say this place is good if you are looking for authentic Ayurvedic treatment at a reasonable cost, but don’t expect modern hospital facilities or five-star cleanliness. With better maintenance and infrastructure upgrades, it could serve patients even more effectively.
