Dr. Kalpana Janardan

One of the best internal medicine doctors I have ever visited. She is a wonderful doctor and human who takes the effort to understand a patient completely before prescribing and medication or treatment. Highly recommended for those staying around Banerghetta road area.

It's more to express my gratitude to the Doctor for her excellent diagnosis and guidance over the years for me and my family members over the years than a review.

Got in touch with her when someone recommend her when I was dealing with recurring fever and flu and have been thru 3 rounds of antibiotics in 3 weeks way back in 2012 and finally it was diagnosed to an allergy and proper medication to help me recover.

I have always seen her more focused on your holistic health and wellbeing than just the disease or symptoms at hand.

We have been blessed to find such a doctor whom we can completely trust and she has been able to help us sail thru many of the challenges including for my father, wife and mother and I even prefer to consult her online when not in Bangalore.

So this is my small tribute and gratitude for more than a decade of excellence and commitment I have seen from Dr. Kalpana Janardan...she's undoubtedly one of the best in the country and not just in Bangalore in her field. I have been consulting Dr. Kalpana Janardhan (Internal Medicine, Apollo Hospital Bannerghatta Road) for the past 10 years, and I can say that she is one of the most caring and professional doctors.

She listens everything carefully and prescribes very minimal medication. Many times she even suggests lifestyle changes. Her polite nature is another reason why I visit her.
I have consulted her for routine check-up, fever, infection etc. Her diagnosis worked for me and my family members.

Disappointing Experience - Lack of Professionalism and Patient Communication

My recent visit to this doctor at Apollo Bannerghatta left me deeply disappointed, and I would not recommend her. While some reviews mention her patience and thoroughness, my experience was quite the opposite, particularly concerning her demeanor and willingness to communicate.

During a review of my mother's blood report, when I politely asked for clarification on a concerning level, I was met with an unprofessional and dismissive response, being told she "does not have the time to explain these basics." It's disheartening to take time off work and seek professional medical advice only to be refused a basic explanation of one's own health results. This extended to her reluctance to explain medication dosages.

Regardless of how busy a day might be (though our waiting time suggested it was a slow day), a doctor should always uphold professionalism, respect, and a commitment to explaining conditions and treatments to patients and their families. This fundamental expectation was unfortunately not met.

We met with Dr Kalpana at Apollo Bannerghatta. She was rude, impatient and did not want to take the time to explain what the low indicators in my blood report mean. This is completely unacceptable as a doctor ( just like any other professional) - is expected to keep it professional, explain to the patients what the results and medications are and have respect for them. One goes to a doctor when they are at their lowest - the least is we expect is that they behave like professionals. Terribly unimpressed and not pleased with my interaction with her.
